Today I went into town on the train.
My outward bound train was running a bit late so I took the opportunity to walk up and down the platform at Market Harborough on the lookout for wildlife.
I didn’t see any creatures but there are plenty of wild flowers growing by the platform which undoubtedly encourage insects and its good to see that they are allowed to flourish unchecked.
Walking into the town centre at lunchtime, I noticed something growing on the top of a building; I couldn’t see what it is but it is definitely “wild!”
On my way back I also found some wild flowers growing between the tracks at Leicester station.
When I got back to Market Harborough I walked into town along Millennium Way which, instead of following the main road, traces the banks of the river. Much nicer than negotiating traffic.
